Christine was born in the U.K. and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Experimental Psychology from McGill University in 1985. She went on to graduate studies in the area of Space Motion Sickness at Brandeis University, Massachusetts, obtaining a Master of Arts Degree in Experimental Psychology in 1989. She was employed with NASA in Houston, Texas for a year as a Research Scientist where she was a member of the Life Sciences Team conducting astronaut pre- and post-adaptation Space Motion Sickness experiments.
Christine returned to Canada and obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Calgary in 1995. She articled and was an Associate with a national law firm until 2000. Subsequently she held in-house counsel roles at two large multinational corporations in the oil and gas industry.
Christine’s practice has focused on the management of intellectual property portfolios; acquiring, protecting and enhancing intellectual property rights globally; and drafting and negotiating agreements in respect of intellectual property and technology law related matters.
Christine is a member of the Bars of Alberta (1996) and Ontario (2000 - currently non-practicing), a member of the Canadian Bar Association, and is a registered Canadian Trademark Agent (1997).
